FAQsWhat do you blog about? I blog about yoga (my experience as both a teacher and a student of the practice), travel & retreating around the globe (and it's relationship to our 5 senses + mindfulness), planning, living your best life & learning how to relax, the "simple joys" in life, and my relationships (family, friends, and loved ones). How did you make the transition to becoming a yoga teacher? I want to make a similar change, but am not sure where to start. I receive this question so often that I decided to write a two-part series detailing my story, lessons learned, and some advice. You can read more here: Part 1 & Part 2. I heard a song in your class that I really liked. Can I get a copy of your playlist? Yes. My playlists are posted here. Enjoy! Where do you find all of your yoga music? Lots of places, primarily while cruising down the road, or listening to soundtracks on commercials {yes, I still watch commercials...they're a great chance to switch the laundry, grab a bowl of ice cream or pack a bag for the next day!}. Shazaam is my favorite go-to productivity booster + backup-brain to store all of my new finds! If you have a favorite request, please send it my way! Where do you teach? Our world experienced a huge shift in 2020, and so did the yoga community. I'm currently riding that wave, continuing to hold the space for students in *LiveStreamed* Classes, On-Demand and with Virtual Classes at Radiance Yoga. Whether you're in DC, Virginia, Florida, Nashville or elsewhere around the world, come join me on the mat to play, stretch, grow and restore. Can you help me breathe life back into my career? Click here for all of the juicy details, and here for a fun blog post full of lots of ideas about the ways we can partner together :) Can you help me write a new resume or build out my LinkedIn profile? Yes! You can purchase almost anything that you see on the blog in my Etsy shop. I think I want to take a yoga teacher training, but am not sure I'm ready. Can you give me some advice? I get this question a lot. First, I'd suggest you start close to home {literally!}. Find a teacher (or teachers) that you love taking classes from and investigate the training and offerings their home studio has to offer. If you like the teachers in class, chances are you'll end up with a teaching style that resonates with you! Second, a dear frind of mine, fellow yoga teacher, yoga mentor and fellow blogger has answered this question at length in her blog. Check out her perspective here! Who designed your website/blog? I did! I'm a big fan of the free website creator, Weebly, and have used Weebly for all of my websites from Day 1. You can use their drag-and-drop interface and templates to create your own website or blog. No, I'm not sponsored by Weebly, just a satisfied user ;) Do you teach private yoga classes or classes outside of studios? Yes :) For my rates and all other pertinent info, click here. |
